MicroSoft

In 1975 Bill Gates & Paul Allen had formed a company/buisness which they named Microsoft. A name that combined the words "Microcomputer" and "Software". According to both owners agreement, Bill owns about 2/3 of the company and Allen owns the other third. Bill Gates has had help from many people such as friends, but his most help was from Paul Allen. Paul Allen and Bill were former friends in school known as Lakeside School and until this day they still are. Bill and friends formed a program called Lakeside Programmers Group(LPG). It was once a group of 4, but sadly Bill's friend Kent Evans died in a skiing accident. After dropping out of Harvard, Bill and Allen proceeded to Microsoft and Allen had Hopkinsons Disease. That lead him to giving up his involvement in managing Microsoft for a while. In 1969 the Microsoft Corporation moves to Seattle, Washington. 1985 Microsoft releases the first version of its Windows operating system. Bill stole the idea of using a mouse from Apple's Macintosh, which was the first computer to have a GUI, or a graphical user interface This is when Bill Gates started to dominate in the computer industry. 1990, Windows 3.0 is released and Microsoft's annual sales exceed $1 billion per year. 1995, Windows 95 is released. In 98, Windows 98 is released and Microsoft's Internet Explorer takes the lead over Netscape. Bill Gates makes a load full of money, here is a timline of how much he made throughout the years. Year 1998 he made 51.0 billion, year 1999 he made 90.0 billion, year 2000 he made 60.0 billion, year 2001 he made 58.7 billion, and in year 2002 he made 52.8 billion.  

Paul Allen
